This is a common question and it's not a straight forward answer. The answer is that it depends on many factors including the patients medical condition, the amount of fat to be removed, the area of the body, the process employed by the surgeon and a number of other factors. There is no fixed price guide. We do have an average cost per body area but this is not a definite. The following are average prices for liposuction in the US

  • Chin, Cheeks, Jowls, Neck: $2,000 – $4,500
  • Hips/Waist: $1,600 – $5,000

  • Breasts: $3,000 – $7,500
  • Anterior Thighs and Knees: $2,000 – $5,000
  • Inner Thighs and Knees: $2,000 – $5,000

The other point to remember is that the cost of liposuction procedures also varies from state to state. Decisions about liposuction should not be based solely on the cost. The cheapest procedure might mean that the surgeon does the procedure quickly and incompletely or does not provide enough after-care.
